The organisers invite the submission of abstracts of original papers relevant to understanding English in Southeast Asia.

  • Abstracts should be 200 to 250 words in length and are expected to indicate a clear objective, show awareness of the background to the issue to be discussed and provide some indication of the approach taken.

  • Each participant will be given 15 minutes for oral presentations, with 10 minutes devoted at the end
of all the sessions for questions.

  • Strict time-keeping will be maintained for all papers.

Participants are also invited to submit abstracts of 3 or 4 papers to form a colloquium in one of the themes listed above.

One person must:

  1. serve as the corresponding presenter

  2. provide an overview abstract of 100 to 150 words, along with the abstracts for the 3 to 4 individual papers that will comprise the session (each 200 to 250 words long) beneath the overview abstract.

Please note the following:

2) Each presenter may present no more than two papers.
